THE SPACE
The Grand Parlor
An elegant backdrop for an intimate wedding or dinner, flooded with natural light during the day or the glow of two antique chandeliers in the evening. Say your vows in front of the fireplace or the beautiful bay window overlooking the garden. This space consists of two formal rooms that can be used together or separated by gorgeous 8-panel pocket doors. The rooms can be flipped from theatre style seating to dinner at our round or farm tables for you and your guests.

The Kilpatrick Room
This room is just off the front entry and is a stately space for additional dinner seating or serving cocktails after your ceremony. Named for the Union General H. Judson Kilpatrick that used the home as headquarters for Reconstruction of the South in 1865. General Kilpatrick gave a pony to daughter Amelia that she named Kilpatrick.

Doctor’s Office
Adjoining the Kilpatrick Room and the Rainey Suite, this room was originally used by Dr. Holt to see his patients. It can now be used by the groom and his groomsmen to spread out as they get ready on the wedding day. The Doctor’s Office can also be a spacious bar or buffet room to serve your guests.
Louisa Suite
Named for the bride that the Holt House was built for, the Louisa Suite is a beautiful bright and airy space for the bride to prepare for her special day. Located upstairs, the bride and her party will have exclusive access to the entire second floor with three spacious rooms and a full restroom. The Louisa Suite boasts a hospitality station, a hair and makeup prep space, comfortable seating, and plenty of room to spread out while staying away from prying eyes. Just imagine descending the grand staircase when it’s time for your wedding to begin.

Claudia Room
The signatures of two Holt daughters, Claudia and Frances, have been preserved on the wall in this room where they signed their names in 1865 during the occupation of the home by the Union Army after the Civil War. Painted a beautiful blush color, this room serves as a permanent bedroom on the second floor and houses a wardrobe built on the property in the 1800s.
Frances Room
Located upstairs, the Frances room is a light and airy bedroom facing the back garden. Beautifully decorated in a timeless design, this room is home to a 19th century French armoire. Daughter Frances’ name is engraved on the side window, believed to have been etched into the glass with a diamond engagement ring.
The Sunroom
Located on the back of the home, this room overlooks the brick patio and makes the perfect spot for a brunch, shower, or small dinner party. Or set up your food and drinks on the porch and make your way outside to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Sit a spell with your favorite drink on the brick patio or set up your dance floor and dance the night away under the canopy of oak trees and stars. Meander through the gardens and find a quiet spot or pull up to the bar in Lizzie’s house.
